Brief description of the breed: An excellent small guard dog, an excellent alarmist, with overflowing energy, reserved towards strangers. Active, industrious, agile, tireless, always interested in what is happening, ready to bite anyone who approaches the objects it must protect, very gentle with children, always wants to know what is happening behind closed doors or behind a moved object, reacting with a shrill bark, raised collar and woolly hair on its back. Schipperke is a curious dog that will hunt rats, moles and other vermin.
